CookieCruncher - What's New in Version 1.1?

Back to Software Page

Does now automatically recognize Netscape Profiles:
If you open a cookie file CookieCruncher does now look first in your profiles and finds the appropriate files. You can still search for other cookie files on your drives using the 'Search files' feature in the open dialog window.

Implemented 'Run & Quit' preference:
If this preference is set CookieCruncher will quit immediately after it deleted cookies you set to 'Always Delete'. It will not quit if it finds new, unknown cookies (shown in bold face).

Implemented 'Save a Copy as...':
You can now save a copy of a cookie file to another location to make a backup copy.

'Drag & Drop' and 'Copy & Paste' support:
Drag cookies or whole domains to the desktop or to other cookie files. Or copy cookies and domains and paste them in another window. This is especially useful if you stored a backup up copy (see above and FAQ).

Added 'Revert' command:
Makes it possible to return to the last saved state.

New, more compact layout:
CookieCruncher does now show for a deleted cookie how often they were deleted from the cookie file. It also shows when it was last deleted if you select 'File->Get Cookie Info...'.

Support for Netscape 6:
CookieCruncher does now support cookie files created with Netscape 6. Automatic recognition of profiles for Netscape 6 will be included in a future version (see FAQ).

Lowered System Requirements to MacOS version 7.5.1:
CookieCruncher does now support all systems from version 7.5.1 up to and including version 9.1 on 68k and PPC machines (see FAQ).

Import cookie settings from MacWasher:
You can now import settings (e.g. which cookies to delete, which to keep) from 'Cookie Dog', 'CookieCutter', 'CookieCommander', 'iCab', and 'MacWasher'.

And many bug fixes and improvements:
